How does Yahoo rank sites from its directory?

Hello everybody,

just got my first yahoo entry ever and saw that I'm now ranked at yahoo directory search #10 for a phrase I did not really target.

If I go to yahoo and punch in that phrase, it switches to directory search and my site is #10.

If I punch in another phrase I target, yahoo does NOT switch to directory results and instead presents web results.

Is there a pattern for switching to directory results and when not?
How can I rank #1 for a given keyword on yahoo?

hi, i just wanted to post the same question as him. That is what i wrote before i went here:
"Do you know, how Yahoo includes sites from its directory into search listing? According which principles?
I just found that they point some of their directory listings above google listings on certain search phrases. I am just thinking about doing some sites for
their paid directory.
