I decided to put one of my sites in the yahoo directory to see what affect if any it had on overall traffic. Well its killed my yahoo traffic. I didn't stop to think that they would remove my descriptive title that Google displays and replace it with my url, which happens not to be a keyword domain. so now nobody clicks on it when displayed in the Google results. to add insult to injury they took payment 3 times and it took 3 times for them to even spell my url correctly.

Not quite sure what happenned to you, soapystar.

In my case I get the TITLE followed by the description from Yahoo Directory when I search either Yahoo search or Yahoo directory.

yes. i get the the title, but the title is now my url, not the title as in my header. This is followed by a 6 word description. This is compares to the other sites that display with the webmaster written titles and descriptions becuse they are not listed in the yahoo directory.
