New Yahoo SERPS?

I've heard them advertising on TV lately. Today I notice a difference in the SERPS on words I track. These are not the normal Google results I see. Anyone else notice this?

yer looks like a mix at the moment keep getting different serps y! to G only in certain areas.

I've been watching this too because I just got a big boost in my google listings. (from #26 - #3 for a certain 2 word phrase).

Theoretically, I should be at #3 on Yahoo too, but I'm not. I'm still at #26. So it is still an old index.

That is until you click to the second page of results and then click back to page 1. Then I'm at #3 like I should be.

I had a chance to look at an analysis of a SERP that showed different results, and to me it looked like a comilation of results from Google, Altavista, and Fast. Somehow I had an impression that quite a lot of weight was given to the Fast Serps based on their extensive link analysis, but I could be run.
My best is that they're going to be using results from all the engines.
In another thread someone poasted that they went to a focus group where the model seemed similar to Looksmart - but I still think the results would combine the databases, including the directories.

yes, i see the same thing. I click page one im at #6, then go to page 2, then click page 1 again and im at #4 which is the same as google.

For those people seeing different SERPs to Google: go to Yahoo search preferences and change the no. of results per page to something other than 20 (default) and run your search again.

Most of the posts in this thread are on Sept 26. From then until last night every data center had different results. I have watched Yahoo and seen no change. Yahoo takes several days to sync with Google. That would explain some differences. I really don't think Yahoo is doing anything in the US maybe in the UK I can't speak for that.

I just did a search on yahoo for a keyword phrase that I have been #1 for 3 years and I was not in the top 30. Then I hit the back button and I was back to #1. Something is happening. Just not sure what.

this is like the recent problem on google itself where you hasd to refresh to get the real result...they said they fixed that problem...

I am in Canada and I have recently found that Yahoo.ca is showing results that seem to be identical to Inktomi results, while yahoo.com is showing Google listings.

Is yahoo.ca a taste of things to come? I wonder.

Yahoo.ca is definitely using Inktomi results. They are just doing testing, but I suspect Yahoo.com will make the switch by the end of the year.

Both Yahoo.com and Yahoo.ca show the same Google results for my keywords. I also tried using ANONYMIZER and still the same.

Maybe it's certain keywords?

I wish I could see it too. There has been a lot of people here reporting INK results on various Yahoo pages, but I never seem to see them. boo hoo :(

Google results here. Can anybody give it a guess when will yahoo switch to Ink or a combination of Ink, ATW and AV?
