How important is it to buy listing?

I have a site that is doing extremely well in Yahoo (Google) for the keyword searches we are targeting. One example: city name service type

The owner of the business is being approached by a Yahoo Yellow page ad reseller agent to set up a yellow page listing for his service. He is asking me if I think it is a good idea. My feeling is that we are doing very well in the organic search, the directory listing, etc. and that it is just another expense, albiet another place to be found. Another concern is that the company name is at the end of the alphabet and they are listed in alphabetical order and there are 8 companies signed on, plus the Overture listings.

Any advise and or experience to share?

Hi Linda, if the company you're working with is local, then I would think this would be a great way to get a bit more exposure. Since the SERP's are limited for geographic queries, every little bit helps.

I was searching for computer services my city and noticed that a lot of Yellow Pages SERP's came up, so I think this would be a good investment.

I've never done it myself, so I can't share direct experiences. If you do purchase the service, do share your experiences.
