Can't remember if this alread made an appearance when they rolled out the new search, but Yahoo has begun calling Dealtime advertisers to enlist feeds for its new product search at [products.yahoo.com...]

The listings look live Overture sponsered with Y! stores as the main results.

That was mentioned when Yahoo launched their new search.

To me it looks like a blatant copy of the product search engine of G :(

During the Beta period, product inclusion is free. According to the TOS, an unspecified amount will be charged per further inclusions after the main launch.

I agree Chndru, this looks like a direct rival to Froogle. I hope that it will encourage Google to move Froogle out of beta and begin to plug it on their main page.

Pricing seems to be per category (a la the new Looksmart setup).

The product display is very similar to Froogle or Dealtime (depending on what page you look at [catalog.products.yahoo.com]), but could potentially be more significant than either if they advertise it at all.

Good clean start page only to end up with sponsored listings above the fold on a 600x800 for sites offering product searches themselves. I sure hope that with whatever new features they roll out in the future, they place the ads on the right like Google.
