Greeting to all,

Has anyone had experience with the yahoo datafeed system?
I finally reached a point in the approval process with just one error on the test feed. As per yahoo (...there's one more change that needs to be made before your feed can get processed. Please delete the file extension from your feed. (datafeed.txt, should be just datafeed). I have tried removing the file extension and it appears as "datafeed" however when the file uploads it uploads as "datafeed.txt" properties on the file state it's a notepad file I'm at my wits end on this.

So close and yet so far

Notepad automatically puts in the .txt file extension. Have you tried another type of editor? Or renaming the file without the extension after it's been saved?

Marcia, Yes I have tried renaming the file outside of the program that was used to create it. It was orginally created in excel and saved as a text delimited file. I have sent a email to yahoo but I doubt If I'll get a response before tues-wed. I also send feed to froogle this way and haven't had any problems regarding file extensions this is a requirement of yahoo. I guess froogle is not as picky as yahoo.

Webtress:

Have had similar problem with the .htaccess file. You might try FTPing to the site and rename the file with the FTP rename command.
