$299 with no guarantee that your site will be listed?

I don't mind paying a nominal fee for review, and then the balance if the site is accepted but hell will freeze over before I pay Yahoo! $299 with no guarantee of inclusion.

Am I the only person who thinks this way?

if i may add to this very intersting topic i registered my domain on 8th april this year then done the site and did free submitt to most engines now if i search my two keywords or the domain title i am first also i have according to google 475 listing in google and about 563 in yahoo point i am trying to make is i never paid a penny to anyone and i dont see reason to pay anyone since i am getting around 2000 people on my site every day most are coming from google and yahoo.
