Is Yahoo! and Overture forgetting the basics?

...and do they even care?

When requesting information on Sponsored Matches or whatever the hell they're calling them these days, Yahoo! sends you to a page prompting you to enter your e-mail for more info.

You would think that this page would be your doorway, an open floodgate of information, concerning Yahoo!'s Sponsored Matches service or Overture.

It brings you to a page with a less than adequate 50- word summary that basically comes down to: "This is a worthless page of information, here's a link to overture which you should have gone to in the first place, and thanks for the e-mail address...your spam will arrive shortly."

Then, to make matters worse, I receieve an email of the SAME EXACT VERBAGE, but it's signed (and I kid you not):

Regards,

The end. No sig, no contact, no phone number, no nothing.

What the hell is that? If my business sent out an autoresponse like that, we'd lose all of our customers.

VERY UNPROFESSIONAL.

So my question is, when did Yahoo! stop caring about how they present themselves to potential clients and do they really think these things don't matter any longer? Also, if I was a newbie I'd still be asking myself, "Who the hell is Overture?"

HyperGeek, Yahoo's never really cared about their customers, they're well known for their horrible attitude towards customer service.

I think they're beginning to try and change that. We have a thread in this forum where several people were raving about this.
