ive ask for a bit of help here before..and was very pleased with the right on advise by many members...
my newest question is... i own a domain.. (dot.com) it allows me to create subdomains, ( subdomain.domain.com)
i have a redirect (registered dot.com) name going to my
subdoamin url... the redirect works just fine..my delima is that i cannot get yahoo or practicaly any search engine to
find my new website (the subdomiain), ive tried tags, ive tried submitting, ive tried every way searching... it just wont find it... what am i doing wrong with say..yahoo and this redirect & subdomain..does yahoo or other search engines not list redirects?

Don't really have time give you a thorough answer, but look for other sites to link to yours. Here's a good place to start:

[webmasterworld.com...]

also try a search on google for add link + your site theme

thanks quinn.. bottom line u r telling me that u
think links are my issue? polietly, i dont buy that..ill tell you why.. because i can do a search for something
in yahoo..and get webpages that NO ONE COULD POSSIBLY HAVE LINKED TO ANYTHING ELSE.. yet i can search for my direct subdomain name or my redirect name..or content and keywords...neither shows.. at all anywhere... that isnt a link issue..ive never listed my main domain with anyone..and it rates right up front and top of the page on yahoo for several keyword searches...and there are only 2 places linked to it..so the facts dont bear out your explanation .. ANY OTHER TAKERS?

redirect

I think this may be your problem. Depending on what kind of redirecting you are using, you could be preventing search engines from ever visiting your site. But I also think you are wrong to discount Quinn's advice so readily.

Even if there is something wrong the redirect on your main domain the fastest way to get that subdomain listed will still be a link to your site from another site listed by whichever engine you'd like to get listed in...

I don't want to confuse the matter but I'd be surprised if many people are still using any search engine submit form anymore.

NO ONE COULD POSSIBLY HAVE LINKED TO ANYTHING ELSE

wolfslayer, my first reaction was the redirect. What kind of redirect did you use? Perhaps that may be the problem.

It won't hurt you to find sites to link to yours. It can only help. If you want to rank in Yahoo, you have to have good link popularity in Google, so this is something you'll eventually have to do.
