I was just doing a quick check of something in IE. (Normally I use Opera.) I started IE (showing a local page that I use as a home page). I then went to yahoo. Did a simple search. Clicked on a search result (to one of my sites). Then closed IE - and guess what - _yahoo_ has opened a pop under advert!

Yet another reason to stick with a certain search engine starting with G :-)

In the UK, Yahoo have been showing Amazon Pop-unders for months and months.

Are you sure it wasn't some scumware thingy? - Though from what Shak says it seems they most likely did it...

I'm pretty sure it was yahoo - I've very careful with security on my system.

Y! for sure. I always keep that popunder minimized so no new ones open. annoying, but ..

I have a long time Yahoo.uk e-mail address and get those silly things almost every time I log in. Trouble is some of them slow down my dial-up connection.
I honestly can't see why Yahoo advertisers think they will sell for them, or maybe they do and I'm missing something crucial here :)
