The problem for Yahoo is their European divisons are all loosing money. Never worked profitable from the beginning. I really wonder if they will have any success with this plan. The problem is in the major countries you have a situation where the ex-statehold providers still dominate the market in a big way. And the rest of the market is under such a heavy competition that any newcomer will have a very hard time making a dent. What I could see would be partnerships rather than acquisitions.
