I just got lucky and one of my sites got listed in Y!
Since it seems that it happenend some time ago (no NEW sign beside the link), I wanted to find out when the listing originally went online.
I tried the "Site of the Day" feature (Y! Germany), where all new entries are listed. Even went back in their new listings until I only received 404s.
A look at the source code of the category page doesn't reveal any data except <!-- 030117:0020 -->. This changes every day without any change in content. I am clueless.

Hi onlineleben, do you have access to your logs?

You should see on your logs when the editor visited and when traffic started coming to your site through the listing.

That might help you find the date.

2_much, thanks for the reply. That's what I did in the first place, but couldn't find anything. Had to dig out my old logs and finally found the first referral in July 2002. Since it is a very low traffic category (not the category I submitted to) I don't receive really measurable traffic from the directory and I didn't look into that place when checking if my site had been accepted.
Just yesterday I wanted to resubmit and checked where others with my keyphrase are listed using the search function at Y! and found my site listed #1 with a Y! directory listing.
So now it is waiting what the good placement in G! plus Y! will bring in traffic.
