I submitted a site 2 years back with the business express service for a 1 time payment.

Yahoo miscategorised the site (in my view) and didnt change it when I complained. They put my site in a subcategory with my main competitors in the category above. Great.

Whats the best way to get yahoo to review their categorisation of various sites in a given section thats wrong?

Do I need to pay again to get an effective review, and will I then be paying $299/year?

Welcome to WebmasterWorld [webmasterworld.com]. (lot's of good reading there, a great introduction to the many features of this site.)

I don't have any experience in asking them to 'recategorize' a site...but at this point since it's been 2 years, I'd bet the ask you to cough up some more money for the change.

If it's that important, my recommendation would be to build a second site, and make sure it gets into the category you want, and then link 'em together. :)

You get your money's worth that way, and a bigger PR boost. And you can be *more certain* of getting what you want out of the deal.
