My sites get usually about 100 hits a day after being listed in Yahoo. Question is where does this traffic come from? I was already in the search engines before, in other words how does Yahoo deliver its traffic after a listing?

It is a combination of the directory itself and Google results. Google heavily influences the directory at this point in time.

Thanks.

Can someone quantify the pagerank value of a Yahoo listing? That is suppose you have a pagerank 0 site in google - just listed, and it gets listed by Yahoo, over time how should pagerank increase? I read that Yahoo has no MORE influence than anything else...

A PR5 link from Yahoo is like a PR5 link from any place elese, with the exception that being listed in the Yahoo directory normally gets you listed in the regional Yahoo directories too... asia, uk, whatever. I don't know how many that is, but assume a half dozen. So that one PR5 link is actually six PR5 links. From this alone, after the next Google update your new site should have a PR4 -- unless there a huge number of sites listed on that directory page, in which case PR3 or even 2 is possible.

Steveb is right, except sometimes those reginoal directories are not ranked the same PR as the main yahoo pages are.
