Who/what is this?

Shows up as a user agent, hits 2-3 times a day. Not a robot, uses Netscape as far as i can see.

Shows up on different (but related) sites.

It's a bot. I'm guessing it's an e-mail scavenger.

I've been getting this one too. At first I thougth it might be some kinda of browser branding.

The only thing it ever requests is robots .txt file. Looks like another one to ad to the banned list.

All of a sudden the ( ) are missing within the space of a second.

I've been trying to ban this puppy without success.

If you get the ip address you can ban him that way. You can also find out who he is by doing a bit of research. Send me the IP address and I will look into it for you.
