CPC rate?

CPC rate with Yahoo Publisher Beta?

Hi!
I have heard that the Yahoo publisher program have a huge CPC rate. Is that true?

Anyone here that use the Yahoo program? What is the average CPC rate? And what is the average CPC rate with AdSense

As for YPN, I've heard that they do pay more per click. However, They are in beta and are allowing US publisher only and US traffic only.

Yes, the CPC is much more than AdSense for most topics.

However, they ARE in beta and there are some bugs that have yet to be sorted out.

HUGE bugs going on right now. I have two sites on YPN, one is performing great while the other is performaing about 1/2 as good as what it would with Adsense for the past week or so.

I thought it was because of the 'glitches' but now they claim the glitches are fixed and there is still a huge problem...

CPC alone does not mean much unless one is going to click ads on his own site. You need also good CTR and Yahoo CTR is much lower than AdSense because the ad targeting is pure.

But in some cases (especially for my sites), YPN is the perfect contextual ad program because:

1. It targets wonderfully, with relevent ads 95% of the time.
2. The low CTR is okay because with such high CPC the CPM is still way higher than any other ad program out there.
3. In fact, you guys might think I'm crazy if I say this but... I have come to enjoy the reduced CTR a little bit, because I retain more visitors on my site, while still maintaining a relatively high CPM.

I don't think you're crazy at all. It was evident to me very early that the reduced CTR had certain advantages, potential advantages anyway, not the least of which was the possibility that visitors who weren't clicking YPN ads might very well be clicking on something else I had to offer. I'll take higher CPC/lower CTR over lower CPC/higher CTR any day of the week.
