Maybe if we all throw them an email concerning this they will get one here ASAP, because it is greatly needed...
Wish list:
Continue working on the targetting
Work on that Net-30 payment
Move out of beta asap so clicks from outside usa definitely count
Things that are great:
User interface is easy to use - you get a B+
15 minutes stats updates are nice (especially having the time of day)
Best thing is that you don't allow ads on computer generated pages - this should cut down the YPN spam by 90%.
EPC is very good.
It's nice to see Y! does have a team on the ground to discuss issues with us. However, over the passed week there have been some questions which need to be answered from Yahoo! which no one has...
1. Is it OK to show ads to non-Americans? If so, please change the TOS.
2. Why use language="javascrit" instead of type="text/javascript" when type="text/javascript" is 'more correct' and doesn't break strict XHTML?
Please also tell us of any improvements which are being made or what we can look for in the very-near future?
My only negative analysis to the rep on the phone was----
Yeah, you guessed it!
Relevancy, or lack thereof.
He asked if I like the payment terms, and of course I couldn't answer, as I've gotten no clicks, let alone any income.
I'll remain optimistic that they will get much better at some point.
Thanks for the welcome and the feedback. In regards to YPN beta:
-targeting will improve as we learn from this beta period and focus on making improvements and enhancements along the way (this is a priority)
-payment cycle has just been reduced to 30 days (previously was at 45 days to get paid)
-each month we continue to expand the amount of publishers in our beta program, but I can’t say when we plan to roll out a general release
-currently our beta is limited to US publishers and will only pay for human clicks from within the US, as our terms and conditions explain
-expanding YPN to markets outside of the US is on the roadmap for 2006 and we’ll keep you posted on that
Sorry for the delay but hope this was helpful.
YahooSarah
How come all the ad serving networks go for a general release, if it just gets to a perfect balance of supply and demand then we all get a large cut of the pie right?
But if the supply of publishers is huge, advertisers pay less don't they? Then Yahoo makes the same, and publishers get less.
Beta is rocking my profit margins.
