I am one of the lucky few who were accepted into the YPN Publisher Network for its beta testing.
I run a few small websites, one about local real estate and the other a local health site. Both sites get no more than 10 visitors a day, each. I usually get a click or two every week and make a low single digit each week from YPN.
However, after this recent Google PageRank Update my sites are recieving new visitors, still the same numbers though, like 10 a day. But these past few days I've made about 4 times what I usually make! So, its double digits each day!
I am worried that Yahoo might think I'm cheating in some way, because of the sudden increase in clicks and no increase in impressions. I really like the YPN ad network and do not want to get kicked out. I hope that the extra clicks are just a temporary trend and will stop soon.
I think I should wait a few more days before emailing Yahoo, to see if the trend continues, because with such a low number of impressions, and large number of clicks Yahoo is bound to get suspicious, right?
Is it a good idea to email Yahoo and tell them about my observations, or just wait? Any suggestions would be extremely appreciated! Thank you!
Anyway, I guess you're right hdpt00, the trend is insignificant. Anyway, I am going to be adding the Yahoo Ads to one of my more popular sites (with 4 digit visitors per day) soon, so the number of impressions is definately going to go up, making the number of CTR go down (hopefully).
Anyway, thanks for the suggestions. I appreciate it.
