Hi there family, itīs me again! (yeah, I know)

I hope youīre all doing well today!

As the title says, I am looking for a light-weight and fast loading WordPress theme to use it on a content-heavy blog (affiliate niche site).

Iīve gone through some of the starter/demo sites from Astra, OceanWP, and even GeneratePress and, to be honest, I donīt like any of them.

I recently checked The Phlox Pro which is the best theme for Elementor but, it turns out I am not as good with Elementor as I thought.

What do you guys use?

Cheers!

Light-weight and WP do not go together. WP is pretty heavy. I choose themes more on content requirements (image carousel, etc), the type of information and the fickle look and feel of your customer (I want blue). Asking here is pretty difficult for us to answer.

Whatever you do, ensure you can do a child theme so that you can make changes and not lose them when the theme gets updated. Some purchased themes look great until you find out they are already child themes and you therefore cannot change them directly without losing the changes when the child theme is updated. In general, a simpler design means less code and theoretically will load faster, but this also depends on plugins, so all bets off.

I am aware that WP is not the most efficient CMS in regards to page loading speed but, then again, what would be your choice?

Secondly, I am not looking for advanced animation and other stuff like that since that will have a negative impact on my siteīs performance (I am on a shared hosting plan).

Lastly, yeah, I will take your child theme advice into consideration for sure.

As per my suggestion, you can try any theme, but for lightweight, you can try W3 Total Cache Plugin, for more detail of that plugin to check youtube that will show you how to configure that W3-Total Cache plugin
