Wordpress site stats -- what do blue/grey bars mean?

This is probably a really dumb question, but i cant seem to find an answer to it anywhere, not even in the plugin help pages

When you use wordpress's own site stats plugin (the one on jetpack) the graph shows all the numbers in blue and grey columns. I suppose the blue column must signify the actual visits, but then what does the grey column mean? -- is that page views? It always seems to be higher than the blue one

I mostly use Google Analytics, but if I understand what you're asking, you're looking at the "Day" stats (as opposed to week/month) and the grey columns are just weekends.

Which is kind of neat because I realize that the site that I looked at to doublecheck gets it's highest traffic on Mondays, which is obvious because of the grey bars, but less obvious without them. I'd never actually noticed the grey bars until you mentioned it ;-)

Think of the grey bars as measuring total happiness of your visitors. It is enough higher on the weekends that the grey doesn't show on weekdays ;-)
