customer live chat for newbie?

Hi there. I am totally newbie in web-dev stuff and I want to use some live chat software to talk on it with my customers. Which one would be the easiest one? And I am looking only for premium software.

so i guess you are not working all the time in front of pc and if it's a small shop with handmade things you gonna handle it on your own? If yes than you should take a look at www.livechatinc.com - they have amazing mobile app. Zopim is also good but their app really sucks sadly :/

If you intend live chat do realize your customers will expect a response 24/7 UNLESS YOU TELL THEM OTHERWISE. You might look to a support ticket system instead where you can deal with things when you're not doing the rest of your business.

catmad - yes, you're right. It's just a small side project so I don't want to sit in front of pc all the time and instead of that i want to reply on my phone. Thanks for your recommendation i would have to read about them.

tangor - I am planning to set some working time on it. But I don't think that they will be texting me during night since it's very small business (at least at this moment). But ticket system is a good idea tho. Thank you!

Than definitely check out livechat. Also tangor is right with ticket system. In my opinion you can use chat during day and ticket system during night. Livechat have built-in ticketing system and it really can save you some time.

It's for free in addition or you have to pay something for it?

it's already in the price. You don't have to pay anything more to get it. So you can just turn it off and use ticketing system during nights to avoid chats when you sleep. It's very useful

you can customize pretty much everything but in the cheapest package you can customize only few things from your UI. But all other plans allow you to customize it with CSS and even delete their branding text.

Sorry mate, I know that it can look weird but as I said i am newbie and I don't even know what to look for... All what I know is that I want to be able to use it on my iphone and I want it to be secured so I'm interested only in premium software...

Even this 30$ allow me to do it? 30$ monthly is not so much if it's good. Do you know anything about intercom maybe? Their app looks like communicator and I like it.

I'd beware low dollar solutions. You need at least 256 encryption to secure your chat (else you might expose privacy and open your system to hackers).

Support tickets are easier to secure. Better yet, a phone number. :)

I got your point and I also think the same. That's why I am looking for some paid service becase security is very important to me. But ofc it will be nice to find something cheap with good security. I like live chats and I know that it can build trust. Tickets are fine also but only when I don't want to chat. Do you have some other software than livechat with live chat and ticketing feature on your mind?

Hey devkit, I recently found one called tawk.to. You can personalise the message that's shown at different times, have people leave their name, email and comment when you're not available and create tickets too (amongst other things). It seems pretty good and it's free too. Could be worth a look for you.
