I'm getting the following errors on GWT for sites using Wordpress as the CMS and I'm not sure whether it is something that will affect rankings or if it is just a warning

Error: Missing required field “entry-title”
Error: Missing required field “updated”
Error: Missing required hCard “author”

Have any of you come across this and how did you resolve it?

I don't recall seeing anything like this in my Webmaster Tools and I have a number of WP sites. I'm guessing it's in the Structured Data section by the nature of the error?

Have you looked to see if the items were really missing? I think entry_title is the page title and you may have chosen to remove it from the page. If you find that these items are really missing, I would make sure they show.

If you did remove the entry-title you may want to put it back and then hide it from normal visitors using css. That way you can keep the page looking like you want and keep G happy too.

OR, it could all be a big mistake. G does make them.

It has to do with your theme though I'm not sure how to fix it. Will it hurt you. Probably not but it's not helping either.

No it isn't the meta title that's there on every page/post
