Hey There, Everyone:

So I finally got everything to look nice on desktops, laptops, and phones. Woo Hoo!

But... the most important content - and by most important, I mean the ads in the sidebar - are then forced way... Way... WAY down the page. All the way down past the content and past the comments.

No one in their right mind is ever going to see those ads way down there.

So I am wondering what other people are doing to make sidebar Ads and CTAs more noticeable? Are people now just putting advertising blocks in the content area instead?

As a general rule, I find popups incredibly annoying. However, I am open to suggestions.

Thanks in advance.

Also pretty pointless on mobiles, since their windows don't work that way.

You'll need to come up with an entirely different design. Phones simply don't have room for a sidebar. One column, up and down.

Consider placing an ad unit at the very top and use media queries to make sure it only shows on small screens.

Thanks for the suggestion. I will look into themes I can use that will be more appropriate.

Thanks for the input. I guess I am going to have to brush up on my media queries.

I like buckworks approach - that's how I'd approach it.
