What are you using for webserver? If you are using apache might as well want to check mod_pagespeed or try open_litespeed webserver for an alternative.

What aspects of your site are running slow? Have you done the usual server tests to determine your load and display times?
Is this an image heavy site? If so, are your images optimized for speed v quality?
Does the site have a large and deep navigation on each page?
Are there extra inserts such as SSI or php?
Is this a quality host, or low expense shared host?
