First let me say, this forum is the king.

Second, my problem is that when I go to my site the main page shows up fine in the URL field "www.sitename.com" when I navigate to any other pages on there this weird bit shows up and I think it's affecting indexing of the site: "www.sitename.com/#!/page I can't find out where this came from or how to fix it I want to eliminate the #! all together. Your help is greatly appreciated!

Welcome to WebmasterWorld 4Leet.

Have you checked your Permalinks?
What plugins do you have enabled?
Have you made any edits to your htaccess file?

The permalinks are set to www.sitename.com/sample-post/

My active plug ins are: All in One SEO Pack, Contact Form 7, and WP-PageNavi

I haven't touched the .htaccess file. This started happening when I installed a new template.

That's an AJAX "hashbang" URL.

Have you unistalled any addons or extensions?

The only one's installed right now are: All in One SEO Pack, Contact Form 7, and WP-PageNavi and they're all active. I tried disabling them one by one to see if it made any change but to no avail.

the site is XXX and it looks like Ajax is being used for the image gallery and for URL rewriting and I have no idea how to fix this short of buying another similar template.

Sit tight. There is a fix; it's posted somewhere in the deep innards of Google bloggery, or possibly Google how-to.

:: shuffling papers ::

Hah. Forums Search for "hashbang" led to a post from me [webmasterworld.com] advising a Forums Search for "hashbang". The post gives links, so I'll leave it with that one.
