Tons of themes are on the market, I am looking for a theme that will be best set to write a biography. Any idea where I should look? I know that on the main WP site there a link to themes but I cannot really find a way to search with correct terms. Thanks.

You could use Google to do the search. I used: wordpress biography theme

Not all themes are created equal either... I stick with Premium themes as they are better supported and kept up-to-date when WordPress updates. Support will be priceless -- especially if you are new to WordPress. Clean code also lends to less conflicts and security risks as well.
The key is to go through a site's demo with a fine tooth comb so that you know how things layout and that the included functionality and widgets are what you need/want.
When you find a theme that you believe you want to use, do a search for that specific theme's name on Google to see what is out there from other users.

@Lorax, I did that already! but as a newcomer it does not fit my quest. I need more definitions or theme names, thanks.

Sorry henry - it was partly in jest.
It's rather hard to narrow it down with a simple search because any theme can be modified to suit your needs. SO it becomes a question of a) functionality, b) design and customization, and c) support by either the author and/or a community.
