How to make categories on the side collapse

Can anyone tell me how to make the categories on the side collapsible? I have now, well north of 100 sub categories, and they just keep on going down the page. I would like to have the sub categories collapse so they do not keep on going down down down.

Well, there are plenty of ways to do it using a navigation widget. Do you want build them manually or do you want some form of automation?

Look for automation. I tried some plugins, like Focal, but the categories are not folding. Not sure what else I can do.

There are several plugins available so I'm not sure why you haven't found one to use. Have you tried: [wordpress.org...]

Yes. Tried Collapsing Categories, they do not collapse.

That sounds like you may have a conflict between plugins. Have you tried troubleshooting this by disabling the other plugins to see if it works by itself?
