Hi,

Can anyone advise?

I would like to use Wordpress on a number of domains that are 'add-on' domains.

The add-on domains are on a Linux hosting (about 50 add-on domains) - is it possible to install a Wordpress Multi-site installation? or do I have to install single installations of Wordpress in each of the add-on domains?

I have only read that Wordpress Mulit-site can be used with sub-domains or sub-directories.

Thanks for any advice...

The Multi-site option was intended for sub-domains or sub-directories but I've read that some folks have successfully installed it on TLDs. I'm still playing with the multi-site option myself - haven't gotten it to work as yet but I think it's a simple fix if only I could find it. Cracking this nut you could easily do 50 domains. But knocking out 50 identical sites shouldn't take that long either.

I am not sure if this is a solution to what you want but wordpress allows for mutiple sites off of one installation.

You may have to do some trickery to get it working the way you want but this may get you where you want to go.
