site mirroring utility in perl?

Have done a site search, and looked through all the usual places.

Need a perl script which will create a mirror of a site, it's a directory, so I obviously don't want to follow all the outbound links.

I've glanced at hotscripts and sourceforge, didn't find anything. Found one, w3mir, but that seems overkill and requires installation/comes with many modules. Anybody know of a simpler solution? Thanks.

Okay. Tomorrow :) have other things to do right now, which is why I was hoping I could use somebody else's perl, instead of rolling my own.
