Changing my hosting of a .co.uk from a UK based server to a USA one.

heheeh maybe i didnt have enough caffIEne yet. But your going to change your server from a UK server to a UK server? You may not get penalized but the DNS stuff may not refresh right away getting ya pulled from the index up to a month. If yer old host is nice they can point their NS records to yer new hostname so you can have 3 NS's ;)

I think mikeD ment from a uk to a us. I believe this won't have an effect. I really don't know though. It is a question on whether google uses ip lists or domain extensions or both to designate location.

thanks korkus2000, thats what i meant, had mixed opinions on this question
