I want to create a service that requires some code to be placed on a persons website, with different articles appearing that will be stored in a mysql database on at my host.

These artciles would rotate over time.

My questions are:

1. What type of host would accept this type of service?

2. I want to have links to several hundred sites, all using this. Will this take up much processing power and therefore require a high cost hosting provider?

3. Where can I find out more about hosting for this type of thing?

Thanks,

Jon

Like all things, start with a host that you can grow with. You are basically talking about distributed content and serving that content? If so, it's just like a site, but consider all those hits to be yours. Traffic numbers are traffic numbers, whether they are from your site, or your site serving another.
