Email extractor

Any one get hit with this & wat to do ?

Ok, I got hit by an email extractor program, & it gave me 99k of hits. My server logged on the IP & the program. So i contacted the fella who did this from an lookup, asked them wat they do it for.

They said one of their employee accidentally used the Trial version on them, but did not get any mails bcoz it was Trial. So I would like to ask how to we proceed from here. ?

If you're using an Apache server and the mod_rewrite module is available, you could use something like the simplified approach described here [bignosebird.com]. A somewhat more sophisticated solution is here [engelschall.com].

excellant pointer. i'm only slowly pulling away from mother MS to Linux, but i can see this being very useful.
