TrippLite v. APC - Serious WAN Power Backup?

Anyone with experience in network UPS systems- APC SMART UPS 2200XLNET 2200VA or TRIPP-LITE/SMART ONLINE 6000 SU6K with multiple additional battery packs. My "small network" background has been in the APC Smart-UPS 700 and 1000 size. They have served me (and my clients) well. But now I have a client that wants to be able to keep two servers up for 12 hours in the event of a power failure. Anyone with horror stories, great stories or words of experience playing with "big UPS". Thanks

You want a "serious" power backup? Forget about specialty UPS packages, and get yourself a full-on regular sine wave inverter with a lead acid deep cycle RV battery attached. (Want 12 hours of major power capcity? Add a couple more batteries...)

Hook it in to your breaker panel correctly, and it will seamlessly take over power whenever the utility company allows so much as a flicker through the lines...

We've got a Trace SW inverter and some RV batteries running back-up for my employer's office. If the power fails, all the ceiling lights go out (they're on a separate circuit), but the computers don't even flicker.
