IIS/ASP - 3Com Firewall

ASP pages not getting through 3Com firewall

Hi,

I have several .ASP pages within an IIS/NT4 SP6a server. They work fine without a firewall, but 'hang' when the firewallis in place. Microsoft say all traffic is travelling down port 80, so its the firewalls fault. 3Com say a port outside of 80 is being used, so its not their firewall.

Anybody else come across this beauty of a problem?

ASP pages should be sent as plain HTML to the client via port 80, unless you have configured your web server to use a different port. My first guess would be to check that the firewall is configured to allow requests into port 80 and route them to the proper machine.

Thanks for the reply. The .ASP was using port 80, solely, as you said. Our problem was cookies, which the firewall was filtering out.
