Site Search Engine Software, wanted to buy with crossreferencing

Hi

I have been searching the net for some software to purchase that I can install on my site.

I have found some good ones but what I really need is an engine that can do cross referencing, or matching of information.

Or am I asking too much and is this a job for some specialized programming or set up of Cron Jobs?

Appreciate directions where to look.

What type of matching are you referring too?

I'm using Xav's [xav.com] FDSE for the site search engine. Running 20meg with 13k docs. Has everything altavista has.

I too am using and have bought a copy of Fluid Dynamics Search Engine and am very happy with it, but I need something more that generates emails if certain entries are put into my database, entries that match certain criteria and send off an email to the original poster.

Today I have been searching the net for something and so far have come up with e-classifieds software which is a database classifieds system with auto notification features that I need all in one package, it is a bit more than I wanted to pay in Australian $$$ at around $400 but I am testing the free demo and will evaluate.
