iis 5 local problem

running win2k pro,

iis5 has just stopped working, i can't even open the personal web manager,

figured i'd uninstall and reinstall using the add/remove windows components wizard from control panel, but it just freezes so i can't uninstall.

have tried to use the uninstall components from the win2k disc - no joy, m$ site not too helpful (well i couldn't find any help - only pop up windows asking me to fill in a questionaire about how satisfied i was with my visit LOL)

recently may have had an infection of nimda virus, but completely cleaned out, not sure if this could be related, but sure it isn't.

any ideas??? - as my site is asp based running on a win server i need to test locally pretty badly ... no suggestions to go with *nix servers thanks.

sounds like a nimda or code red virus still in there.

those do affect IIS pretty badly.

That is the same exact problem that is happening to me! I'm about to reinstall win2k, this is really annoying and i can't uninstall ANYTHING! Bah, I hate these problems, and i just got done fixing a huge php script that i was going to use on IIS. Tell me if yours works!
