I see Overture (goto) in my weblogs for many websites. They are obviously crawling the web, no doubt to harvest email addresses. I don't want them harvesting my clients email address to spam them / take my clients away.
I think what you are seeing is just someone who did a search at Overture and then visited your site. Otherwise, they're assigning a seesion id to their spider?
That doesn't make much sense.

None of my sites are registered with Overture. I am certainly not paying for their services (although I probably will soon). How can any of my sites appear in Overture?

When a they don't have enough paid listings, then Inktomi is used to fill out the results.
