After uploading a revised webpage the old page still shows up for some time, maybe a couple of days, when I check in my normal browser Explorer. Emptying the cache in the preferences does not help. When I look up the page in Netscape the correct page is shown. When I open the file on the server it's OK. What am I doing wrong?
The site is made with GoLive. Mac, OS 9.04

Hello ravgni,

Welcome to WmW.

It sounds like your problem is caching. IE is very bad at sending proper refresh requests... Netscape is better.

To get IE to refresh properly hold down ctrl+shift and click refresh. I've had good results in Windoze with this so let me know how it works on your Mac ;)

gethan,
thank you for trying to help. I tried ctrl+shift, command+shift (it's a mac!) and other combinations I could come up with, but in vain. No refresh.

Problem solved! I have learned that webproxy must be unchecked in preferences when using an adsl modem. Odd!
