Smooth transition from Win98 to Win2K Professional

Hi all,

I just wanted to know various pre-installation issues, tips, comments, and help before I install Win2K on Win98.

I don't have a CD Burner and so all my critical application files (eg. Resume.doc, etc...) are NOT backed-up on CD's.

What should I do to conduct a smooth transition from Win98 to Win2K?

What do I need to know to be fully prepared before I install Win2K?

Thanks.

I have not heard of anyone making that type of transition before around here. The biggest thing I know about it, is to make sure you have your "driver ducks" in a row. Have urls handy to all your hardware manufactures. It is a good idea to go see if their hardware is supported by 2k before doing the upgrade.
