In most cases - to get the Flash plugin I direct visitors to the appropriate Macromedia page - where the plugin installs itself into the browser automatically.

I would also like to have the plugin as a self installing file - does anyone know of a url where it can be obtained in that format.

People are no goose and refuse to be force fed (especially trough a modem). Do not dream about any foie gras from such a practice.

3405985432854.01% of visitors hit the "skip intro" or else button as soon they see one. Better let them choose the food they like.

Ah - let me be more clear.
When I say 'direct' I don't mean 'force', I mean I provide a choice - ALWAYS (I totally agree with you Macguru.

HOWEVER - can anyone direct me to a url where I can download the plugin as a portable file for other requirements e.g. to put on a CD etc.
