Anyone have a link to a program that can create a sitemap of your site for Google.
I know Google does one, but it needs python to run.

Surely there is a free site, or program out there than can quickly index and pop one out?

I set this going last night.

I came in this morning and my computer had run out of memory and virtual memory :)

it would be better if it saved the results direct to
a file.

I ended up using sitemapbuilder that managed to do 45000 pages without crashing.

I used the program made the xml files (one of html and one of php files from the message board) and uploaded them.

Not much difference on my html pages, but on the php ones there has been a massive increase of google search hits on the pages.

In the past google seemed to hit randomly on the board, the "edit post", or the "reply post", were often hit as much as the "view thread".

Having made the xml file and then culled out all but the view thread entries, it does seem to have indexed me in google much more than just of last week.

For me its a success in a short time.
