All the thread of webmasterworld in html

When I post a new thread or reply a post, the page would automatically become html page.

Is that being done when I submit my post to a script at the server which generates html file?

Can anyone be so kind to tell me what the name of this technology is?

Webmasterworld uses a proprietary script written in PERL (Practical Extraction and Reporting Language) called BestBBS. PERL is an interpreted language that runs on the server. I am sure that Brett and others more closely associated with the project will be able to tell more.

My understanding is that BestBBS is a flat file system that stores actual seperate files on the server, as compared to a database system that creates pages on the fly.

Brett et. al. have done an outstanding job of developing this program, and there are many here salivating over the prospect of a public release.

I realised there are some interesting web site urls,

1,I can not even see the web script file name for the current browsing page.
2, which language in "search", as there is no extension name of "search", is it PERL as well or some other customized interpreted language?
