My first experience working with a CMS (Drupal) has got me confused. As I prowl around the admin area, it's complexity is overwhelming.

Is there a Drupal for Dummies guide?

If you have conquered/mastered Drupal, how long did it take?...I'm not even talking about custom modules, themes.

Drupal is actually very easy to use (in my opinion).. but i can see how it could be confusing at first for new users.

As for your question about a book/guide.. Drupal has an extensive guide available on their site:
[drupal.org...] :)

For me the hard part was installing Drupal and customizing a template to where it looked good. Actually adding content and setting up user accounts is pretty simple.

Keep at it, it's a great CMS for the price. Read the online handbook carefully, and if it doesn't seem clear, search the support forum or post a question there.

I wouldn't say I've mastered it, but after about a month of using Drupal, I've figured out how to do most of what I wanted to do with it, and I'm not intimidated by the whole thing like I was when I first started on it.

But, yeah, a Drupal for Dummies would have been nice. Hmm, not a bad idea for a site, come to think of it.
