Hi Anyone, Does anyone know how one can insert a favicon into a web site constructed by Trellix 2.1? Thank you, Placidus

I am not familuar with Trellix.
However the fav icon is just a GIF file. You just FTP the GIF to the root of your web and that is all their is.
Take care,
Brian

Thank you Brian, Sites like favicon.com seem to indicate that although maybe some new browsers may accept a jpeg, favicons require: ".ico" extension and would have to be created (according to that site) from .bmp. They did not mention a .gif. Trellix basically does the html coding behind the scenes. So It's not clear that I could insert the proper coding (unless maybe with a text editor. Regards, Placidus

Thank you Corey, I bookmarked the site for possible future use. I think favicon.com also has a do it yourself favicon applet and I came across a .uk site as well that could produce one (apart from paying anywhere from $75 to several hundred dollars for one professional made). I'm not sure what they want in the box "source image" (There is no "browse" button to insert the path to a picture file.) The thing that I'm hoping to find out, is whether web pages constructed with Trellix 2.1 can incorporate a favicon (once obtained). Placidus
