301 redirect leading to // after the domain name

domain.com/ redirects to domain.com//

Done a 301 redirect from domain.com to www.domain.com on a site hosted on IIS server. Now the site redirects from domain.com/ to www.domain.com//. The inner page - domain.com/file.htm redirects to www.domain.com//file.htm

Will this cause any problem with search engines or is this common?

well, those links aren't going to work, are they?

They are working :) Infact you put // after any domain, they work just fine and all the inner pages read as domain.com//file.htm

Searching in Google with // returns the domain with /
