My host has a knowledge base pg. about changing php.ini settings to allow larger file size uploads.

I've used it to review settings in my php.ini file. I usually upload audio files bet. 2-8 MB in size. SO I increased the max. script time fr. 30 sec. to 5 mins. & the max file upload size to 10MB & the mem limit fr. 8 to 12MB. But the 6MB wma file I'm trying to upload using ftp isn't completing the upload. I think what's happening is the upload maxs. out & filezilla tries to upload it again. I get a msg. asking if I want to overwrite the partial file but the upload never completes.

Can anyone think of other ways to lick this problem? Of course, I'm going to call the host but can't till morning.

There may be a post limitation in your Apache config too, but here are some other directives to review for file uploads in PHP.
