Dreamweaver MX "Modify" menu crashes!?

When I click on the Modify menu in Dreamweaver MX i get "TypeError: docDom"

I cant figure out what is causing this problem.

When I click on the "Modify" menu in Dreamweaver MX i get the following error;

'While Executing DW_Modify_EditNavbar canAcceptCommand the following Javascript error(s) occured:

At line 16 of file "C:\Program Files\Macromedia\Dreamweaver MX 2004\Configuration\Menus\MM\Modify Navbar.htm":

TypeError: docDom.body has no properties.'

can anyone help?

I can give you any info on my PC that you need.

I have turned off my VET antivirus, I have no firewall programs, I get the same message even if I have a blank new webpage open.

Welcome to Webmasterworld :)

Sounds like you have quite a serious problem with DW, not a problem with virus or firewall etc. It might take a re-install to fix this one, I had a similar warning for the help menu - a re-install fixed this bug. Just make sure you have all your remote info noted if you do this!
