I am looking for a service provider that can host website written in JSP. A friend of mine told me earlier that his provider had some security protection schema which disallow any pages in his JSP to initiate outside TCP connection. This forced him to use some ugly work-around. Apparently there was some configuration file in tomcat which can enforce such policy and some hosting service companies don't want you to change it.
I have 2 questions:
1. do you know any good JSP hosting service provider (in terms of storage size, bandwidth, service provided, etc.)
2. do you know if TCP connection to outside is allowed by this JSP? For example, I might want to talk to google web services or amazon web services. It will be a bummer if I buy it and find out it's not possible.
