Is there a way that a web page can recognize the receipt of an email and gain access to the contents of that email? I believe that this is how autoresponders work (or at least some of them), although I am not sure.

I am seeking the ability to receive a unique email from a client (they will all be different emails), parse it, look up some information in a database based on the information parsed from the email message, and send out a new email with content customized based on what was returned from the database query.

Does anyone know of an autoresponder that has this capability? Could you please let me know via a private email or post it on the listserve?
