How much should it cost in the UK?

I just received a quote from a hosting company for a dedicated server. We require SQL server and were quoted GBP110 per month for the licence.

Is that a good cost?

Should we purchase the licence outright? (is it an annual licence or a one-off cost?)

My host charges $225 USD/mo for single CPU licence. It's pretty standard. Full licence cost about $3000 USD. If your budget allows, I'd say it's worth it.

$225 is about the same monthly cost in british pounds.

I spoke to the hosting company again and they say that they charge GBP3000 per annum!

Think that we'll stick to the monthly.
